I (';we';) am getting married in July and need unique ideas of how to add color to the aisle w/o using petals?

I am using shepherd hooks to mark the aisle and will use fabric that will swag from hook to hook. I just feel like there should be some color on the grass but petals are sooooo over done. Any ideas?I (';we';) am getting married in July and need unique ideas of how to add color to the aisle w/o using petals?
Confetti?

Get a few rolls of ribbon to roll down the aisleI (';we';) am getting married in July and need unique ideas of how to add color to the aisle w/o using petals?
I personally don't think petals are overdone. I think your prospective would be different from that of your guests because you are probably buried in a pile of wedding magazines and idea books, and your guests maybe go to one or two weddings in the year.

If you REALLY don't want petals, and it sounds like you are getting married outdoors, you should look for something natural and organic. Ask your florist for ideas. Maybe some feathers, polished stones, or honeysuckle blooms?
Why do some idiots feel they have to make obnoxious remarks, when they have nothing to say???

I think petals are still a nice thing to have, but use white! Color in real petals (or any fabric or paper, like confetti) could stain the bottom of your skirt as you walk over it! ...well, off-white or ivory would work too, just don't have any ';real color'; down there...... You might want to sprinkle some metallic or iridescent glitter though
Are you using an outdoor carpet runner for the aisle?

I don't think I would worry about color on the ground! You want people to be looking at the bride and her party...not the ground! Congrats!
maybe small pieces of ribbon.

congrats!!!
