Can you get married the same day you get a marriage license?

Like in county offices that do wedding ceremonies, can you just get married the same day you get the marriage license?Can you get married the same day you get a marriage license?
Depends on where you live and the requirements they have.

In Vegas, yes you can for example. Some other states might have a waiting period or process (blood test etc). Most don't, but I don't know all states's requirements either.

Look into your state and see what their requirements are.

State of Hawaii has a 30 day limit on the license to be used as alot of other states:

';The marriage license expires 30 days from and including the date of issuance, after which it automatically becomes null and void.

If you do not get married within the 30 days, return the unused license in the pre-addressed envelope provided to you for invalidation.';

Just to give an example.

New Orleans also is a same day marriage state for visiting brides and grooms.

If you have the license in hand, you can get married. It doesn't matter how long you wait. So long as you've been granted, and have the paper, you can go down to your local 20 dollar theme wedding chapel, pay your twenty bucks for your two witnesses and your Elvis impersonating priest, and become happily married.
Usually there is a waiting period of a few days or a week...this is so you can think about it before going and doing it. Some places let you get married right away. The only way to know if for you to go to the county clerk and ask what the law is.
I did, but that is the state of Louisiana, every state might have their own clause about that. You have to find out about what your state has as rules.
WHAT?
my advice - wait till tommorow.. it wont kill you
