What are your thoughts on religious young people getting married @ 18-19 in order to have sex?

Well on the positive side if they are married and religious, if they have sex and make babies they are somewhat likely to stay together and raise a child who has two parents and a stable home life (in theory). They are also in a committed relationship and sex is often much more meaningful in a committed relationship, so that is nice for them emotionally. Plus, they think it's God's will to remain a virgin until marriage so they are adhering to their faith, which is sometimes nice to see.





On the other hand they go into marriage totally sexually inexperienced. If sex has been a don't ask don't tell institution their whole life, it could mean bad sex for one or both of them for years to come. Also, they are getting married before their brains are done fully developing just so they can get it on and odds are they are going to change drastically in the next 6 to 8 years and that could result in some serious nuptial regret. Sometimes they change together and they are married until one of them dies. But with the rate of divorce what it is today, I'm not too optimistic that this is the case. I also think that in terms of religion, premarital sex isn't really a sin. I can't recall where I read this (and I swear it was a credible source) but there are certain translations (certainly none used by the Mormon or Catholic church) of biblical text that have the term virgin being used as someone who has not had post marital sex. So while they might not have been a virgin physically, it simply means that they hadn't gotten laid inside of wedlock. And really when you think about it, the bible says a slew of crazy implausible things, you really wanna stick to not having sex before marriage as a serious tenet of being a good Christian or what have you?








Personally I think you have to test drive the car before you buy it. If I married the first guy I had sex with I'd be having awkward pelvis bumping uncomfortable sex. An enjoyable and robust sex life is just as important in a healthy relationship as any other component.What are your thoughts on religious young people getting married @ 18-19 in order to have sex?
I think one of the many reasons waiting for marriage is silly is because it would affect the decision to get marriage. For teenagers, it could be a massive part of the decision. Choosing to go into marriage should be a clear-headed decision, not with the influence of wanting to have sex. I don't wanting sex is the only reason for those young religious people entering into marriage, but there's no way it can't affect the decision.

getting married In order to have sex is the wrong thing to do, simple as that. If you respect your religion and respect that you need to be married to engage in sex. Wait until you really love that person to do it, that simple there is no hidden schemes or alternatives that simple. Getting married just to have sex is just wrong. 18-19 is way too young to get married, most haven't even finished high school, let alone been able to attend college or University. I would say 25 and up is a good age to get married when all the drama is gone and the reality of life kicks in.
Marriage is not supposed to be about sex, it's about loving someone and spending your life with them. If you marry just so that you can have sex, then it doesn't make any sense and defeats the whole purpose of marriage. Divorce costs more than getting married, so what happens if you end up not being meant for each other?
I think getting into a bad marriage for the wrong reasons is a bigger sin than premarital sex. But to be honest with you, even though I grew up in a really religious environment, I only know one couple who got married younger than 20, and they were both very much in love, and seemed reasonably mature enough to deal with life on their own.
I don't like that rule. But if they are raised religious then they obviously do. 18 and 19 is not that young though. Heck if know a good guy or girl and can see each other being together for life then get married and be happy and have all the sex they want or go to hell for getting a divorce lol.
if you're just getting married to have sex then your reasons for getting married are flawed and impure. it's not about the love, it's about the sex only with the ';title'; of marriage to try and validate your reasoning.

Sex was meant for marriage in order to have children. It is being discarriaged in young age due to complecations which occurs when one is pregnant and have difficulties in giving birth. i do not know your meaning for sex anyway.
hopefully if they are deciding to wait until marriage, they will be making sure its the right person, and not just to have sex. I think if they really wanted to have sex, they would just go ahead and do it.
