When getting married who buys the guys ring?

And what steps do you need o take into planning the simplest wedding possible? When getting married who buys the guys ring?
You buy the groom's wedding band. Steps for a simple wedding:

1. Pick a date

2. Decide on a wedding party

3. Decide how many people to invite

4. Find a venue (including table, chairs, linens)

5. Decide on flowers, food, cake, dress for you and attendants, what the groom and his attendants will wear

6. Music for the ceremony and reception

7. Send out invitations

To keep it simple, try to find a venue that provides everything for you (linens, decor, catering, even the cake).

Minimally you will need a Maid of Honor and Best Man. You can decide to only invite immediate family and a very few close friends. You will need to carry some kind of bouquet. You can print your own invitations. You can opt to only have drinks and hor'dourves and a small cake. Or you could opt for a morning wedding with a wedding breakfast to minimize the food.

Hope this helps. When getting married who buys the guys ring?
I bought my husbands ring and he bought mine. We had a very simple wedding last year. We were married in our living room in front of a fireplace. We had 17 guests. We were married just after 12PM and had reservations at a historical restaurant. Since the meal was in the afternoon it cut back on the final bill. We paid for everyone's dinner and it came to approximately $600.00. Everyone came back to our place for drinks. It was a wonderful time. The total bill for the day was under $1000.00 ( not including our rings). Our guests all said that this was the first time they had ever been to a wedding like this and stated it was the most fun they ever had at a wedding. There was no stress involved because it was so simple and fun.
I bought my husband's ring. Usually that's what happens but sometimes the couple puts money into both rings.

Do as much as you can yourself. We did and we also had a lot of friends that offered their talents as well. We had no outside vendors, which helped keep alot of the cost down. We also had an outdoor wedding in a friend's back yard, so we didn't have to pay for a venue.

Happy planning!
I dont think it matters ! my fiance and I are paying for the whole wedding ourselves so I get some thing he gets something else, we have a list and we have worked through it. He is buying both wedding rings as we are having them made to our own design. I think some people get caught up in silly ideas about who pays for what etc., you are both getting married - to each other - you are supposed to be in love - so what does it matter.

Good luck and go with the flow.
congrats first off if your the one getting married. Second you buy the guy's ring! Make a list as to what you want. instead of buying expensive invitations make them yourself. People are just gonna throw them away anyway. for flowers have you and your bridesmaids or friends make them and instead of using flower center pieces try rose petals. Why spend all that money on flowers that are just used for a few hours and die. We did that and we went all out on stuff but cut corners to save money on things that just didn't seem practical. There are a lot of things that you can do check out diff web sites. set a budget is the best thing to work with.
The bride does.

Set a date Give yourself plenty of time for planning

Set a budget,

make a list of must haves, It will do the figures for you

key budget into theknot along with the must haves

Or I always recomend getting membership in theknot.com it has all the lists and time tables for staying organized, makes it a snap
As we designed ours and specifically made to order for us we went 50/50 on the total price.

After all it was our wedding. We became part of a union, with the rings signifying this. Hence we felt this could not a his and hers bill it was OUR expense.
Help eachother and work together.
the bride is s'posed to buy the grroms ring and vice versa
