When you get married to someone do they get your bad credit?

I have bad credit. I love this person so much but am afraid if we get married that his good credit will go down so bad that it will be irreparable. Please help! Is there anything I can do? Should we wait until I have a decent credit score before we get married? When you get married to someone do they get your bad credit?
no actually i just recently went backrupt..but my husband did not..he has great credit. When you get married to someone do they get your bad credit?
no, I found interesting information about Credit Reports %26amp; options here. Goodhttp://all-debt-consolidation-loan.blogs鈥?/a> luck!
Yes, it will effect his credit rating, especially with insurance. But it will also effect yours in a positive way. This is not a reason to not marry, if he is mature enough to marry he will understand, and if you are mature enough to marry it is time to grow up financially.
Your credit score is just that, yours.

As long as you do not have anything that is jointly signed your bad credit will not effect your future husbands at all.

Unless you live in a community property State then your debts could become his. Those States are AR, CA, ID, LA, NM, NV, TX, WA %26amp;WI.
NO...yours is yours and theirs is theirs before the marriage.

After the marriage, and joint ';debts'; or loans, or cards, will be in both of your names, so you'll need to be better with your finances....

Although, if you are applying for anything ';joint'; in the future, he will be primary, since his credit is good...

(best answer to me?! :) )
Yes, you do...You will share credit, however, decision will be make on financial percentage taking in consideration your credit. in other words , you won't get a decent financial rate.

I do not know how can you avoid this...

I think if you file for chapter 11 you will avoid this...not sure...but you can find out

If his name isn't on your debt then there's nothing to worry about. He doesn't inherit your bad credit when you get married.
It does depend on the state. But I would say yes, your bad credit could affect his. I am not 100% sure of that...if you two go to get credit together, his good credit would be very helpful to yours in getting re-established. But, again, I am not an accountant-lawyer-whoever...
NO

Your credit is attached to your social security number and always remains your credit, your husbands will reamin his forever.

BUT, many married couples go in on loans togother. Therefore if one or other has a very bad or very good credit score, it may effect the outcome for both people. For example, if you both your names on yuor mortage, but he is responsible for paying it and he fails to, it will affect your credit as well.
No. I'm in the exactly same position as you and I have looked into this also. You have nothing to worry about.

I think that a bad credit scoring only lasts about 6 years, before they take you off their register; but it shouldn't affect your partner, because when you first got your credit, it would have been in your maiden name; even if you do tell them about your new address (in the future), they will go by your first application information; your maiden name will be a hold on as 'debtor'.

I wish you both much love and happiness for your future together. Good luck.
